In today’s news, our Beloved Supreme Master Ching Hai presents the Shining World Education Award to remote Nepali school’s founder, Afghan government and Taliban reach milestone in peace negotiations, Danish company produces pencils growing into trees when planted, United States engineers create cooling gel layer inspired by camels, Ecuadorean Amazon indigenous leader garners highly-regarded environmental honor, Britain to debut Europe’s biggest meat analog factory, and wildlife overpass in Utah, United States, saves many animal lives.

In Shining World Education Award News from Nepal …

In 2010, the Shree Lho Basic School was established in Manaslu, a remote mountainous region of west-central Nepal. The school’s founder, Reverend Acharya Sonam Dorje Rinpoche, offers education and boarding free of charge to orphans as well as underprivileged and marginalized youth. Classes are conducted in three languages, and students are taught about the value of virtuous conduct. By studying Buddhist teachings, they learn to uphold truthfulness, kindness to others, and protection of sentient beings. All school meals are vegetarian.

“Students attend the school from kindergarten through high school. After graduating from high school, they intern as unpaid teachers for one year. After that, suitable interns are selected for training to become school teachers.”

Our Beloved Supreme Master Ching Hai gratefully presented the Shining World Education Award to Reverend Acharya Sonam Dorje Rinpoche. Our Association members from Tainan, Taiwan, also known as Formosa, were pleased to present the Award letter, crystalline plaque, Master’s publications and DVDs on Master’s behalf.

“This Award is presented in recognition of your caring altruism, venturing to remote areas to impart the sacred Buddhist teachings of compassion towards all beings. Your boundless unconditional love is a gift from Heaven to be shared, to help uplift this world closer towards nirvana.”

“In recognition of Exceptional Spiritual Teaching, Empowering Students with Confidence, Uplifting the Less Fortunate, Providing Opportunity and Prosperity, Uniting the Community, Promoting Peace and Harmony. With Compliments and Gratitude for Your Compassionate and Benevolent Commitment to Make a Difference.”

“Thank You, Supreme Master Ching Hai. Our high-altitude school in the Himalayas is very snowy and cold, with harsh living conditions. There is no public transportation, such as trains or buses. Food must be transported by horses, mules or on foot. Supreme Master Ching Hai has helped a lot. Thank You very much. We’re very grateful.”

We offer our respectful congratulations, Reverend Acharya Sonam Dorje Rinpoche. May all of the students and teachers at the Shree Lho Basic School be forever blessed, in Buddha’s love and grace.

For the full presentation of the Shining World Education Award to Reverend Acharya Sonam Dorje Rinpoche, please tune in to our Shining World Awards program at a later date.

Afghan government and Taliban advance in peace talks.

After 19 years of conflict, the Afghan government and Taliban representatives have agreed to take definitive steps forward on the path to peace. According to United States Special Representative for Afghanistan Reconciliation, His Excellency Dr. Zalmay Khalilzad, the two parties have produced a three-page agreement setting the negotiation rules and supporting an eventual total ceasefire and political solution to the issues. The Taliban agreed to start the talks as part of a deal made with the US in February 2020, stipulating the withdrawal of most American and other foreign military forces from Afghanistan by the spring of 2021. Congratulations, the Afghan government and Taliban representatives, for reaching this significant milestone. Thanks also to His Excellency Dr. Zalmay Khalilzad, for supporting the peace-making process. May harmony soon prevail throughout Afghanistan, in Allah’s benevolent mercy.

Up next, Danish company produces pencils growing into trees when planted. We will pause for a moment to thank the cartoonists that not only make people laugh but also help to bring about public awareness of important social issues through their work. We’ll be right back with more rewarding news on Supreme Master Television.

Hi, adorable friends, I am Stanley the vegan Antarctic Fur Seal. People say being vegan keeps you young and happy, look at me, I’m the proof! I would like to share a tip on how to swaddle a baby. Swaddling makes an infant feel like they are back in their mother’s womb. It can also soothe a crying and fussy newborn as well as decrease their arousal, making it less likely for them to wake up. Start by laying the blanket out flat with a corner folded down. Next, set your baby on the blanket facing up, making sure their head is above the folded corner. Straighten their left arm and take the left corner of the blanket and fold it across their body, tucking it in between the right side of their body and their right arm. Then place their right arm down, and wrap the right corner of the blanket over their body and tuck it beneath their left side. Loosely fold or twist the bottom of the blanket and tuck it underneath one side of the baby. Ensure that the blanket is not wrapped too tight, and there is enough room for their hips to move. There should be enough space to fit at least two or three fingers between the swaddle and baby’s chest. Thanks for your attention and love you for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet thus save the world. Now, the global weather.

Danish company produces pencil that turns into a tree when planted.

Sprout, a firm committed to sustainability, has created a pencil that features a capsule with seeds at the end. When the writing instrument has been fully used, it can be planted and will grow. The pencil itself is produced from sustainably grown timber and contains a clay and graphite core. Multiple pencil varieties are offered that can turn into many different plants, including herbs, flowers, vegetables such as cherry tomatoes, and spruce trees. Since 2013, Sprout has sold over 30 million pencils in 80 countries. The company also sells a paper-based biodegradable spoon, which creates a cup of fair trade tea when immersed in water. What brilliant ideas, Sprout! We thank you for thinking of Mother Earth. May our consumption be eco-wise, reflect green values, and show love for our majestic trees, in Heaven’s delight.

Engineers develop camel-inspired cooling gel layer.

Massachusetts Institute of Technology researchers in the United States have invented a material that could keep food, medicine, and buildings cool without air conditioning. The substance is two-layered, with a hydrogel at the bottom, which emits water vapor and creates a cooling effect, and an aerogel on top that is porous and insulating. Water vapor passes through the higher stratum in a similar way that a camel’s sweat glands emit moisture through their fur. Testing has found that the double-layered gel material can keep items seven degrees Celsius cooler than its surroundings for over 250 hours or 10 days. Kudos, Massachusetts Institute of Technology engineers, for your remarkable innovation that regulates temperature without electricity. May the material soon be ready for real-world applications that potentially help save lives as well as reduce energy consumption, in God’s grace.

Ecuadorean Amazon indigenous leader wins prestigious environmental award.

Nemonte Nenquimo, head of the native Waorani people of Ecuador, was recently awarded the Goldman Environmental Prize for her successful actions to protect approximately 2,020 square kilometers of Amazon rainforest, part of which lies within Waorani territory. In April 2019, she won a lawsuit to stop the government’s selling of the land’s oil rights to private companies. The court also ruled the government must obtain prior and informed consent from residents before auctioning off any other land in the future. Ms. Nenquimo said in an interview, “The Waorani people have always been protectors, they have defended their territory and their culture for thousands of years.” Congratulations, Nemonte Nenquimo and the Waorani people! In Divine wisdom, may your powerful actions send a clear message of our need to show respect to our natural environment.

Coming up, Britain to debut Europe’s biggest meat analog production factory. We will pause for a moment to read some motivational quotes from people whose life stories have touched many hearts. Please stay tuned to Supreme Master Television for more meaningful news. Welcome back to Noteworthy News - Noble News for a Civilized World.

United Kingdom to host Europe’s largest vegan meat production facility.

British contract food manufacturer Plant & Bean is constructing a 26-hectare vegan meat production factory on England’s east coast. It will create plant protein products for other companies, and the initial output capacity will be 55,000 metric tons per year. The firm says manufacturing on such a large-scale will help lower the cost of the meat analogs produced for consumers. More Plant & Bean factories are to be constructed in the United States and Asia. Plant & Bean is also collaborating with other companies and research institutions to help speed up the innovation of new vegan products. Way to go, Plant & Bean, for your fast-moving plans to scale-up vegan meat production for the world. May your construction move ahead quickly and the plant-based food industry continue its rapid growth, as we switch to the healthy and love-filled vegan way.

United States wildlife overpass a great success.

A bridge constructed over the Interstate 80 highway in Utah, United States, has exceeded expectations with many more animals than projected using it to cross the busy route. A camera has shown that a variety of fauna such as bears, deer, bobcats, coyotes, elk, moose and more have utilized it so far. In addition, 4.8 kilometers of fencing on each side of the crossing was also installed to ensure the animals find the entrance safely and do not wander onto the road. Previously, this area was dangerous for both animals and motorists due to collisions between the two. Utah State is a Shining World Leadership Award for Protection laureate. Exceptional news, Utah, on your bridge successfully helping many of these beautiful creatures smoothly cross the highway. We pray that more such overpasses will be built where needed to ensure everyone’s safety, in Heaven’s protection.

Let’s have a hearty laugh together with the joke of the day. It’s called, “Mom’s Wisdom.”

Aria was happily in love with her steady boyfriend. One day, Aria’s mom decided to share her wisdom on relationships:

“You need to know this though, Aria... There’s a difference between love and marriage.”

“What do you mean Mom? What difference!?”

“Love is blind. And marriage is an eye-opener.”

And now we have a heartline from Milli in Peru:

Beloved Master, I want to share this lucid dream I had recently. I saw a very large passageway in which I saw many animals; it is a kind of train that goes very slowly, and I could closely observe the suffering of each animal on their face. Most of them were pigs and cows, some little pigs, still drinking milk from their mothers. I understood every look of suffering as they were being led to their death for food. I saw how they were killed as if I anticipated their near future; the suffering was big. Everything was so real. At the end of the hallway, ready to leave, I met You (my inner Master), and there I asked You (my inner Master) in that inner vision: “Why do the people who manage these companies allow this?” Master replied to me: “The only way that it can stop is to stop consuming them, stop buying their meat.” I understand what Master teaches us and why the world must be vegan; it really is a great suffering that is caused to our animal brothers. Thank You, Master, for Your wise teachings. With much respect and deep love from my heart to You. I love You. Milli from Peru

Wise Milli, Our appreciation for writing about the important message conveyed in your dream.

Supreme Master Ching Hai has a reply for you: “Insightful Milli, I wish all could see as clearly as you do the pain and anguish that so many of our dear animal friends have to endure each day and that Vegan is the way to stop it. Then they would surely become vegan, if not already. It breaks my heart, and I pray that humanity now recognizes the preciousness of all animal life for a vegan world to materialize as quickly as possible. Much Love and may God bless you and the genuine Peruvian people with peace and joy.”

We welcome your heartlines, stories and or cute, loving animal clips. Please send them via SupremeMasterTV.com/heartline

It’s been a pleasure to have your company on Noteworthy News. May the Providence grace your heart and illuminate your spirit.
