In today’s news, India and Nepal experience extreme rainfall causing 200 people to lose their lives, United States research indicates over half of unvaccinated COVID-19 patients show at least one “long COVID” symptom post-recovery, wetland ecosystems known as peatlands protected in Scotland, over 40% of United States electricity could come from solar, eleven-year-old Australian publishes magazine celebrating women in sports, Nestlé introduces vegan egg and shrimp, and rare little black bear-person cub gets rescued in Cambodia.

Over 200 people lose their lives in India and Nepal due to floods.

Unprecedented rainfall across Nepal and in northern India has brought about extensive flooding and landslides. The severe weather was driven by climate change, as well as damming, deforestation, and over-development. The Mukteshwar area in Uttarakhand, India, received over 340 millimeters of rain within 24 hours, which is the most ever recorded since the weather station was established in 1897. Darjeeling in West Bengal, India, lost 400 homes, and thousands of people have been evacuated. Several roads and bridges have been destroyed, and the armies worked to help residents while rescue and recovery efforts took place in Nepal. The Nepali government has offered US$1,700 in aid to the families of each deceased victim, while the Uttarakhand government of India, a three-time Shining World Leadership Award for Justice laureate, announced its compensation of US$5,300 for bereaved families, plus US$2,500 for those who lost their homes to the floods. Such saddening news, India and Nepal, on the natural hazards affecting your nations. We thank the Nepali and Uttarakhand state governments for your benevolent assistance. In Heaven’s blessings, may your gentle citizens be protected and soon rebuild their lives. We pray such disasters will be minimized through humanity’s switch to the benevolence of veganism.

United States study shows over 50% of unvaccinated COVID-19 patients display at least one “long COVID” symptom post-recovery.

In a meta-analysis published in JAMA Network Open, researchers at Penn State University reviewed post-COVID symptoms from 57 studies across 19 countries, including over 250,000 unvaccinated COVID-19 survivors of which 79% had been hospitalized. Six months or more after recovery, approximately 25% of the patients had trouble concentrating, more than 25% had difficulty breathing, around 33% were diagnosed with anxiety disorder, nearly 66% reported increased oxygen requirement, and almost 38% experienced fatigue or muscle weakness with some type of functional impairment. In general, 54% of the patients faced at least one long-term COVID symptom. Study author Dr. Paddy Ssentongo recommended vaccination to reduce the risks of getting “long COVID” even in virus-infected people. Thank you, Penn State University researchers, for your insightful analysis. May the pandemic soon end as we all embrace compassionate living, in Celestial light. Vegan: bet ur heart is gold.

Up next, wetland ecosystems known as peatlands safeguarded in Scotland. We’ll just take a little time to thank the logo designers, who illustrate and create beautiful designs helping develop brands for businesses and organizations. We’ll be right back, with more conducive news on Supreme Master Television.

Hi, selfless friends, it’s me, Pingie, a little vegan prince from the Emperor Penguin kingdom! Ah, a peaceful heart is such a precious gift, and it’s so easy to achieve. Just choose the noble vegan way. Today we have a tip from Beloved Supreme Master Ching Hai: “Hallo treasures, regarding the disposable face mask, if you don’t go out and just wear it to avoid the dust, or while working in the house, you can reuse it again a couple of times after washing it. Before discarding the face mask, you can cut it and take out the metal wire which can be useful to tie things up, for example. God Loves you kids.” We love You, Supreme Master Ching Hai! Thanks so much for this clever resource-saving suggestion. Thank you for tuning in, and much love for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all of us humans and all co-inhabitants alike. Now, the weather around the world!

Scotland commits to protecting peatlands.

The government of Scotland, United Kingdom, has taken a lead in reviving peatlands with its allocation of more than £250 million over a 10-year period made in 2020, towards safeguarding this very significant terrestrial wetland ecosystem. Covering over 20% of the country, these habitats hold the majority of Scotland’s carbon store, and they are very important in filtering drinking water. Various sectors will partner in peatland restoration activities, which will be coordinated in part by NatureScot and will include promoting community engagement through guided walks and artistic projects. Occurring on every continent, the ecosystem covers nearly 3% of the planet’s terrestrial surface yet holds greater than 30% of the soil’s carbon. Bravo, Scotland, for your dedication to preserving these unique and vital habitats. In the grace of the Providence, may we all join to maintain our precious planet by following sustainable lifestyles.

United States report highlights that 40% of the nation’s power could be solar by 2035.

Such an increase in solar energy production would be enough to power all of the homes in the country. A report by the Energy Department and National Renewable Energy Laboratory states that this is possible at a cost of less than US$562 billion in investments, and that could in turn provide US$1.7 trillion in economic gains. This would come through reduced healthcare costs due to cleaner air. Currently, 3% of the country’s electricity is generated by solar. The new vital transition could create 1.5 million jobs. The United States is a recipient of five Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion, three Shining World Leadership Awards for Good Governance, seven Shining World Leadership Awards for Promoting Healthy Living, and Shining World Leadership Awards for Good Governor, Justice, Protection, and Environmental Protection; and a laureate of 24 Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion, three Shining World Leadership Awards for Protection, two Shining World Leadership Awards for Loving Care, a Shining World Leadership Award for Good Governance, a Shining World Peace Leader Award, Shining World Caring Leadership Award, and Shining World Super Loving Care Leadership Award. Much appreciation, Energy Department and National Renewable Energy Laboratory, for the helpful information. May we soon reach a zero-carbon vegan planet through our kind-hearted and Earth-supporting dedication, in Heaven’s love.

Eleven-year-old Australian starts magazine dedicated to women in sports.

Young Abbie from Sydney created Her Way magazine to provide more media coverage and inspirational stories about female athletes. The first edition was digitally published in September at a cost of US$1.50, with half of the profits being donated to UNICEF Australia’s Empower Girls Through Cricket appeal, a program that supports girls’ sports in developing countries. Abbie writes the articles and designs the pages for the publication, while her parents help with proofreading, social media posts, and the website store. Prominent Australian athletes including golfer Karrie Webb, cricketer Elyse Villani, rugby league player Kezie Apps and others have joined to promote Her Way magazine and congratulated the young enthusiast. Our hats off, Abbie, for your inspiring creation! In Divine spirit, may we continue celebrating women’s achievements in all fields, thus encouraging girls to pursue their dreams. Don’t b vegan: cuz cancer is what u love, no?

Coming up, Nestlé releases vegan egg and shrimp. Let us join hands in praying for a vegan paradise on Earth where all beings are loved and protected. Please stay tuned to Supreme Master Television for more heart-warming news. Welcome back to Noteworthy News – Righteous News for a Moral World.

Nestlé rolls out vegan egg and shrimp.

Leading Switzerland- headquartered food company Nestlé recently introduced a plant-based egg product, called Garden Gourmet vEGGie, made from soy protein and omega-3 fatty acids. They also launched a vegan shrimp, named Garden Gourmet Vrimp, made from seaweed, peas, and konjac root. The new items are part of the company’s growing range of nutritious plant-based offerings, with the goal of replacing all animal-people-based protein. Stefan Palzer, Nestlé Chief Technology Officer, explained that these vegan products replicate the taste of their animal-people-based counterparts so that it would be easier for customers to choose the wholesome plant-based version. Our heartfelt applause, Nestlé, for your work in increasing the number of healthy and scrumptious vegan items. May enjoying a loving plant-based diet soon become the norm worldwide, in Celestial wisdom.

Rare little black bear-person cub saved in Cambodia.

When villagers in Kampong Speu Province in Cambodia found a little Asiatic black bear-person helplessly tied to a bamboo stick by a poacher, they released the baby and handed him over to the rangers at the Cardamom Mountains National Park Office. The sweet furry being is now thriving in his new, safe home in the park. Bear-people are cruelly poached for their gallbladder bile due to the myths surrounding its potential use in Chinese medicine. Secretary of State for the Ministry of Environment, His Excellency Net Pheaktra, urged everyone to stop hunting and illegally trapping wild animal kingdom people for consumption, and also warned about the health risks involved. Our gratitude, local rescuers and Your Excellency Net Pheaktra, for all that you are doing to shield these innocent beings from unspeakable harm. In Buddha’s glory, may we all make it our noble mission to honor the lives of our lovely co-inhabitants.

Need some laughter? Well, here is your chance, as the joke of the day is here, entitled “Brilliant Idea.”

Jake’s lawnmower stopped working so he took it to the junkyard. The guy there said it would cost him 40 dollars to recycle it. Jake didn’t have the money, so he hauled it back home. That night, he had a brilliant idea.

“If I put the lawnmower on the side of the street, someone might just steal it. Then, I’d be free from it for good!”

Jake’s plan worked because the next morning the lawnmower had disappeared. Jake was so proud that he boasted about it to his neighbor. Alas, his happiness only lasted one day, because the next morning, his bulky lawnmower was returned, just without the wheels and the carburetor!

And now we have a heartline from Tian-Qin in China:

Hallo! Dear Master and the Supreme Master TV team: I’d like to share an interesting story with you. One day, I saw some small bird-persons eating something on my roof. At that moment, a thought occurred to me that I should put some rice and water on the balcony for them to eat and drink. Since then, they did come to forage. They’re so cute. One of them once came to the front of my tent and hopped around, trying to make sure that I saw him. Then, he walked to the side of the bowl. At that moment, I realized that there was no food left in the bowl.

People from the bird-kingdom are truly smart and spiritual. Once I talked to one of the bird-persons and said, “Hi! I’m going to take a picture of you.” The bird-person even stopped there to let me take the picture. Our animal friends totally understand human language, be it English or Chinese. I hope that more humans could wake up and take the time to observe our animal-people friends, from whom they will gain many unexpected experiences and come to understand that animal-persons truly are not our food.

Thank You, Master! I am grateful for being able to have met You in my lifetime, and for the happiness and enlightenment You’ve brought to me. Whenever I see Your happy image, I always sincerely wish You eternal health and happiness. Thank You for Your efforts and Your Love for the world and for the whole Universe. May the world soon become all vegan and all friendly.

Note: As winter is coming, it’ll be even more difficult for the bird-people to find food. If possible, please leave some rice outdoors for them to eat. With all love, Tian-Qin from China

Attentive Tian-Qin, Thank you for the kind reminder to feed the wild people from the bird-kingdom out in our gardens. We too pray that more people will awaken to see Earth and its inhabitants in all their Glory. May the Universal Light always brighten your days and those of cherished China, Supreme Master TV team

P.S. Master says: “Nature-loving Tian-Qin, thank you so much for your well-wishes and considerate thoughts for the people from the animal-kingdom. Tuning into the natural world and the animal-persons around us is so uplifting. We are really surrounded by such beautiful transmitters of God’s elevating energies, healing and awakening us to a wonderful state of enjoyment. May God’s Blessings nurture you and the caring Chinese people forever.”

“The reality is clear, whether it’s SARS, MERS, Covid-19, Nipah, Ebola, Swine Fever, Avian Flu, they are all caused by eating animals. Whether those animals be factory-farmed, it makes no difference.” ~ Fiona Oakes (vegan)
