In today’s news, USAID financially supports post-disaster recovery in Âu Lạc, also known as Vietnam, highly contagious African swine fever resurfaces in Korea, scientists in United Kingdom devise vegan spider silk material as potential plastics replacement, UNESCO and European Union project promotes urban renewal and youth employment through cultural preservation in Yemen, caring teen in United States declines US$40,000 university scholarship to benefit other students, Dutch company to soon offer fava bean protein, and animal activists in China save 68 dogs from dog meat festival.

USAID provides post-disaster recovery assistance to Âu Lạc, also known as Vietnam.

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) will give approximately US$535,000 to help those in the Nghĩa Hành district of Quảng Ngãi province to overcome the damage done by floods caused by storms and typhoons at the end of 2020. Cash assistance of over US$500,000 will be given directly to 465 affected families. The remaining funds will be used to repair and reinforce local houses. The United States is a recipient of four Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion, three Shining World Leadership Awards for Good Governance, seven Shining World Leadership Awards for Promoting Healthy Living, and Shining World Leadership Awards for Justice, Protection, and Environmental Protection; and a laureate of 24 Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion, three Shining World Leadership Awards for Protection, two Shining World Leadership Awards for Loving Care, a Shining World Peace Leader Award, Shining World Caring Leadership Award, and Shining World Super Loving Care Leadership Award. Thank you, USAID, for your generous donation. In the overwhelming love of the Divine, may the kind residents of Nghĩa Hành district be blessed with peaceful lives and abundance.

African swine fever reappears in Korea.

Two cases of African swine fever (ASF) were recently confirmed in Korea’s Gangwon Province, leading to the immediate, saddening slaughtering of all 401 pigs at one site and the placing of 170 similar facilities nearby under quarantine. Since the beginning of the outbreak in Korea in September 2019, the country has lamentably killed more than 450,000 pigs throughout the nation due to the virus. There is no vaccine for AFS, which is nearly always fatal to the pigs that contract it; the disease is hard to contain, spreading directly between the animals as well as from contaminated feed and equipment. We pray that this latest incident will be a wake-up call for the animal livestock industry and humanity. Let us support the transition of those working in animal factories to new livelihoods as people everywhere embrace plant-based foods for health and life preservation in Buddha’s grace.

Up next, scientists in United Kingdom devise vegan spider silk material as potential plastics replacement. We are now going to thank the pattern designers for our curtain textiles that bring just the right aesthetic touch to our living spaces, offices, etc. Please stay tuned to Supreme Master Television for more exemplary news. Vegan: your seat is reserved in Heaven.

Good day, gentle viewers, I’m Am Teelo the vegan Antelope. Why be ordinary when you can be extraordinary? Embody compassion and adopt the vegan lifestyle. Here is a little wood painting and staining tip for you. If you plan on painting or staining wood, it is recommended that you wait a minimum of four hours before applying a second coat. This ensures that the first coat has enough time to absorb into the wood. If you notice pooling of the stain on the wood’s surface, this means that the first coat hasn’t had enough time to dry. Also, excess stain could cause unwanted slickness that is easier to slip on, while too-thick paint that isn’t dry yet might peel, or clump and crack, later on. So, using the right amount and a little patience will go a long way! Thank you for tuning in, and lots of love for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all humans and us all co-inhabitants. Now, the worldwide weather.

United Kingdom scientists create vegan spider silk substance as plastic alternative.

A team of researchers led by Dr. Tuomas Knowles from the University of Cambridge, UK, has successfully created a biodegradable and environmentally friendly spider silk-like polymer film from soy-protein isolate (SPI). The researchers, who have been working for over a decade to understand how nature produces materials from proteins, describe the process as being similar to how a spider creates a web – a delicate fiber made from an aqueous protein solution that is then spun for strength. The team used SPI together with acetic acid and water to form a thin silk-like material. Xampla, a University of Cambridge spin-off company, is expected to bring the product to market later this year and hopes to use it to replace single-use plastics. What a brilliant idea, Dr. Tuomas Knowles, research team and Xampla. May innovations like yours inspire others to further explore plant-based technology, in Heaven’s guidance.

UNESCO and European Union (EU) support urban renewal and youth development through culture promotion in Yemen.

The EU is the generous funder of a UNESCO project that employs youth in Yemen’s urban areas to restore and preserve the country’s rich cultural heritage, which, in turn, promotes stability and social cohesion. The more than 2,500 young people participating in the program surveyed over 8,000 historical buildings in the cities of Sana'a, Aden, Shibam, and Zabid and conducted repairs on 151 of them. In May 2021, a two-day virtual conference celebrated the endeavor’s achievements. It also featured short documentary films on Yemeni culture made by talented directors of the Yemeni Film Factory, an initiative dedicated to assisting young men and women in accessing economic opportunities in the film industry. The European Union is a recipient of four Shining World Leadership Awards for Humanitarianism, two Shining World Leadership Awards for Peace, and a Shining World Leadership Award for Earth Protection; as well as a laureate of two Shining World Leadership Awards for Humanitarianism and Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion, Unconditional World Care and True Caring. Kudos, European Union, UNESCO and all participants. Through positive ventures, may the Yemeni youth help create a world of greater beauty, harmony and abundance in Allah’s loving light.

Harvard-bound high school graduate donates scholarship to help other students.

When Verda Tetteh, 17, of Fitchburg, Massachusetts, United States, was awarded an additional scholarship of US$40,000 during her high school graduation ceremony, she requested that the money instead go to help a student or students attending a community college. Commenting on her decision, Verda said, “I’m excited to see who it helps and how that changes their life, so I am so happy that God gave me the strength to do that.” The brilliant student, who received other scholarships to attend Harvard University, came to the United States from Ghana as a child with her mother, Rosemary Annan. Ms. Annan graduated from a local community college at age 47 and many times works an 80-hour week to support her family. Bravo, Verda Tetteh, for your outstanding academic achievements and giving spirit. May you continue to pursue your love of learning and inspire many in God’s support.

Coming up, Dutch company to soon offer fava bean protein. We’ll take a moment to appreciate the inspiring songs and music that comfort us with their heaven-like melodies. More supporting news coming up on Supreme Master Television. Vegan:Who is the handsome! Welcome back to Noteworthy News – Praiseworthy News for an Advancing World.

Dutch company to produce vegan protein from fava beans.

Meelunie, which specializes in manufacturing plant starches and proteins, will open a new processing facility next year in Hedensted, Denmark, for extracting protein from fava beans. The new vegan protein product will offer another alternative to soy, and fava beans can be grown in colder climates such as Denmark. Its facility will use unique technology developed after 17 years of research by the University of Copenhagen, that removes the bitter taste from fava beans and improves their digestibility. Great news, Meelunie, on your upcoming plant-protein production facility that will create health-enhancing protein from fava beans. In the love of the Providence, may your new offering soon be used to produce many new meat and dairy substitutes as the planet’s inhabitants rejoice over the ever-growing number of plant-based food choices.

Animal activists save 68 dogs in China from slaughter.

A group of animal advocates has saved 68 distressed dogs from a truck that was headed for the annual Yulin dog meat festival in Guangxi, China. According to activist Liang Jia, the rescue team stopped the vehicle and persuaded the driver to release the canines, who were apparently stolen companions by such indicators as healthy teeth. Imprisoned in rusty wire cages, the 68 dogs were exhausted and panting when found, as they had experienced a long trip without food or water. Terrified, many of them were in bad health and had eye infections. After the rescue, the dogs were transported to a temporary facility to heal and receive veterinary care before moving to a shelter supported by Humane Society International (HSI) , a Shining World Compassion Award recipient and a Shining World Protection Award laureate. Supreme Master Ching Hai has previously donated US$102,000 to HSI to support its work. Our tearful gratitude, Liang Jia, all activists involved and Humane Society International. In Heaven’s mercy, may we always treat all innocent animal brethren with love and respect for a kinder world.

Let’s keep up a sunny outlook on life with a comical moment. This joke of the day is called, “Don’t Walk.”

A policewoman noticed a teenager crossing the street at the wrong time.

“Hey kid! You shouldn’t cross the street when the light says, ‘Don’t Walk’!”

“But I’m not walking, officer. I’m running.”

And now we have a heartline from Yasamin in Iran:

Greetings to the Ultimate Supreme Master and all the team of the blessed and brilliant television channel of the inimitable Master. My son and I laughed a lot when Master’s animation aired, and my heart was filled with joy to see my son’s face was full of laughter, especially when Master threw off Her slippers and went to sleep. I was thinking how humble Master must be to make a comic animation about Herself, even though She is at the highest level in the Universe. I wish all of us humans could learn from Master and follow the teachings of the Holy Prophets who came down to Earth to teach us the way of love and compassion and help us avoid prejudice. Yasamin from Iran

Joyful Yasamin, It was nice to read your heartfelt sentiments. The Supreme Master TV team joins you in wishing that humans learn from the teachings of all the great Masters, who have so generously and lovingly come down to our planet, since time immemorial, to teach us the Divine way of life. That is the only way we will be able to achieve Master’s goal, to see a peaceful world come very soon. May you and the clever country of Iran be uplifted spiritually.

In the guidance of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), Supreme Master Television team

P.S. Master replies and offers caring words of advice: “Lovable Yasamin and son, as I have said before, humility is one of the key qualities necessary to succeed on the spiritual path. A Master must set an example for Her disciples. Also, humor always helps disciples relax and be more receptive to the Divine teachings! I hope that many smiles will continue to accompany you along your spiritual journey! May Allah’s mercy be forever upon you and reverent Iran.”
