In today’s news, Belgium contributes to demining in Syria and Iraq, potential seed of life on Earth discovered in meteorites, United States scientists study low-cost way to further cleanse treated wastewater, United Kingdom Space Agency wins sustainability award, American businessman pays past due utility bills for struggling households, report predicts vegan protein market will skyrocket, and Estonians honor much loved former stray dog with statue.

Belgium supports demining efforts in Syria and Iraq.

To help stabilize former conflict areas, Belgium has contributed €2 million to the United Nations Mine Action Service (UNMAS) to bolster mine-clearing activities in the two Middle Eastern states. In Iraq, the focus will be on Sinjjar, with both women and men and Yezidis and non-Yezidis working as deminers. Mine clearance saves lives as it opens a pathway for displaced individuals to return safely. Furthermore, it helps facilitate the restarting of agricultural production, rebuilding of basic infrastructure and resuming of economic activities. In addition to demining, UNMAS aids civilians by raising risk awareness and assisting victims. Belgium and UNMAS, we sincerely thank you for your kind care. May these endeavors bring much needed protection, safety and restoration of hope to the kind people of Syria and Iraq as they return home, in Allah’s boundless mercy.

Researchers possibly closer to understanding life’s beginnings on Earth.

Scientists from Japan and the United States, led by Dr. Yasuhiro Oba from Japan’s Hokkaido University, have discovered a key organic molecule in meteorites, or small parts of asteroids, that may have helped form other organic compounds used by life in Earth’s early history. The material, known as hexamethylenetetramine or HMT, was discovered in three different meteorites. The investigators hypothesize that HMT helped create biological molecules like amino acids on asteroids with liquid water and sufficient heat and arrived to Earth by falling meteorites. Such fascinating findings, Dr. Yasuhiro Oba and co-researchers, regarding how life possibly began on our planet. May your work eventually lead to a thorough understanding of the process of creation in the Cosmos, as we move deeper into discovering more about the blessed expressions of the Divine.

Up next, United States scientists study low-cost way to further cleanse treated wastewater. We’ll now thank medical transcriptionists that transcribe reports dictated by physicians and other healthcare practitioners. We’ll be right back with more assuring news on Supreme Master Television.

Good day, compassionate friends! I’m Saylor the vegan baby Stingray. Are you becoming a better person every day? I’ll bet you are, if your diet is vegan! Today’s tip comes from our Beloved Supreme Master Ching Hai. “Want to try a delectable snack without much cooking and pot washing? Here it is: Peel and cut a good size potato into very thin strips, around 1/2 millimeter. Place them in a bowl, pour boiling water over it and cover for a few minutes. Strain out the water. Add some soya sauce or salt, a little sugar, a little lemon juice or vinegar, then a few drops of sesame oil. Mix well and enjoy. God loves you kids.” We love You, Supreme Master Ching Hai! Many thanks for this convenient and delicious snack idea. Thank you for your attention and lots of love for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all humans and us all co-inhabitants. Now, the worldwide weather.

Researchers study inexpensive further filtering of treated wastewater that is used for irrigation.

Penn State University scientists in the United States have investigated utilizing agricultural waste products to produce biochar, a charcoal type material, which can then be used to filter out pharmaceuticals that most US sewage plants cannot remove from contaminated water. During the study, cotton gin waste and guayule bagasse, a residue from a shrub cultivated to make latex, were used to produce the biochar, which then acted to filter a liquid that had three different pharmaceutical compounds added to it. The cotton gin waste was found to be the more effective of the two, removing 98% of docusate, a laxative, 74% of erythromycin, an antibiotic, and 70% of sulfapyridine a veterinary antibacterial medication. Thank you, Penn State University researchers, for conducting your promising study. May your work lead to more effective water filtering solutions to conserve our precious resources as well as to make our irrigation water free of all chemicals, in God’s benevolence.

United Kingdom Space Agency wins sustainability award.

The UK Space Agency has won the Sustainable Development Goals Award from the global network Group on Earth Observations (GEO), for its International Partnership Programme (IPP). Each year, the IPP puts €33 million into solving real-world problems that support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals by using satellite technology and data. So far, 43 projects in 47 countries across Africa, the Asia Pacific region and Latin America have been provided money for climate change adaptation, deforestation, and renewable energy initiatives, among others. In addition, a GEO award was given to an IPP initiative called D-MOSS that uses satellite and other data to predict dengue fever epidemics. Congratulations, United Kingdom Space Agency and D-MOSS, on your prestigious honors and thank you both for your dedicated work. May your diligent projects continue to help improve and save people’s lives worldwide, in Celestial goodness.

Generous business owner pays vulnerable families’ overdue utility bills.

In December 2020, Michael Esmond, the 74-year-young owner of Gulf Breeze Pools and Spas in Florida, United States, paid over US$7,600 to cover the overdue utility fees owed by 114 families. After 60-plus days of nonpayment, the services can be disconnected. In 2019, the caring gentleman similarly spent US$4,600 to help 36 struggling families. Mr. Esmond shared that their situation reminded him of when his home’s heat and power were shut off in December 1983 because he could not pay the bills. He also feels empathy for those who cannot afford utility fees because his community was hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic and Hurricane Sally in 2020. We are deeply touched by your kind heart, Michael Esmond. May your loving act inspire more people to reach out when others are in challenging situations, in the light of the Providence.

Coming up, vegan protein market predicted to soar. We will pause for a moment to check out some of the language learning apps that will help us enhance our foreign language skills. Study projects vegan meat sales to soar.

Global research firm MarketsandMarkets’ new report predicts that by 2025, the vegan meat sector will be worth US$8.3 billion, up from its current value of US$4.3 billion. The growth will be driven by “growing vegan and flexitarian populations across the world” choosing plant-protein products due to their health benefits over their animal-based counterparts. Government programs and investments in the field will also play a role. The authors note that the North American region will see the biggest market expansion during the period. Many multinational corporations such as KFC, Burger King, McDonald’s and one of the world’s largest meat companies, Tyson, have all released vegan offerings. Our appreciation, MarketsandMarkets for analyzing the worldwide rise in demand for plant protein. In Heaven’s blessings, may the vegan trend quickly accelerate, so all our animal co-inhabitants will soon be free to live their lives in peace and dignity.

Free-spirited dog’s statue touches hearts in Estonia.

A sculpture of Zorik, a former stray dog, has been erected in Tallinn, Estonia’s capital, as a tribute to the love the canine brought to the many community members who fed and took care of him during the approximately 12 years he stayed in the city’s subdistrict of Kalamaja. Designed by a local artist and financed by donations, the statue honors all stray animals. It depicts Zorik with a small cat between his paws, as he used to enjoy spending time with the local felines. Although Zorik would not accept a traditional home in his younger years, he has now been placed with a family in the countryside. Zorik, we are delighted by the wonderful story of your love and life of bringing people together by touching their hearts. In God’s benevolent gaze, may your beautiful soul be forever blessed.

Get ready for some instant laughter with the joke of the day entitled “New Hair Salon.”

“Have you heard of the new hair salon called Karma?”

“No, are clients happy with the hairdressers there?”

“Well... let’s just say you get what you deserve if you decide to try them.”

And now we have a heartline from Nga in Âu Lạc, also known as Vietnam:

Most Beloved Supreme Master Ching Hai and Supreme Master Television team, One time when I came to Hsihu Ashram, I had a very wonderful experience while admiring the S.M. Celestial Jewelry "Seeing with the Soul" from the Third Eye; my soul seemed to be absorbed into the jewelry. I attained Samadhi and could comprehend the whole universe. Everything was as clear as the name and the design “Seeing with the Soul,” which has a translucent gem in the middle. In that nanosecond, I also realized that all Master’s Celestial Jewelry, paintings, and lamps are Heaven's Gates connected to the different Spiritual Levels according to the name Master gave to a specific design. Anyone who has the opportunity to see Master's designs will have their souls connected and be brought to those spiritual Levels, even if their minds and physical bodies are unaware of it. I wish Master great health and happiness always. May Your great mission soon be accomplished, and a vegan world will soon dawn on Earth. Thank you, Supreme Master Ching Hai and Supreme Master Television team, for working day and night to bring uplifting programs, joy, and hope to humanity. Nga from Âu Lạc (Vietnam)

Shining Nga, It was a joy to read your insights into Master’s radiant artworks that She has created for our pleasure and spiritual upliftment. All are such a joy to behold and, as you have found, have connections beyond the Earthly domain. We feel so blessed to have such a caring and talented Master and often wonder where we would be without Her. Thank God for Master’s presence on our planet, and may Hes bless you and the elegant Aulacese people. In Divine Bliss, Supreme Master TV team

P.S. Master says: “Special Nga, art brings us beyond this mundane world and is one of the ways on this physical plane to remind us all to remember God. I am glad that you feel spiritually elevated by my artworks. May Heaven’s infinite light be with you and benevolent Âu Lạc (Vietnam).”
