In today’s news, Qatari healthcare support benefits northern Syria, United Kingdom strengthens homeless housing initiative, number of electric vehicle charging stations surge globally, scientists develop way to upcycle CO2 in Australia, Ugandan start-up creates face shields using discarded plastic, Brazilian meat company launches vegan range in United States, and volunteer veterinarian group saves vulnerable marine animals in Indonesia.

Qatar supports healthcare centers for displaced people in northern Syria.

The government entity, Qatar Fund for Development, in partnership with Qatar Charity, a Shining World Compassion Award laureate, has been operating four primary medical facilities in Idlib, northern Syria, since 2019. The centers have been providing free treatment to 15,000 people a month, mostly women, children and the elderly. In the wake of COVID-19, the joint effort has provided additional assistance such as food aid and medical equipment, benefiting refugees, displaced people and host communities in northern Syria and Turkey. Other recent endeavors include promoting health awareness and supporting a nutrition program for infants and children. Our accolades and appreciation, Qatar Fund for Development and Qatar Charity. May your efforts bring much wellness and protection to the gracious people of Syria, in Allah’s benevolence.

United Kingdom helps to secure ongoing accommodation for vulnerable individuals.

When the COVID-19 lockdown began, the UK government allocated £3.2 million for approximately 15,000 people without homes to be given short-term accommodation, mainly in hotels, so that they could self-isolate. Now, as hotels are reopening to the public, the UK government is addressing local governments’ and charities’ concerns by providing English councils an additional £105 million to ensure that these individuals continue to have a place to live, plus receive the support they need to overcome alcohol and illegal drug addictions. Reports indicate that the UK government’s assistance so far has yielded positive results, with some former rough sleepers no longer reliant on intoxicants and now planning their futures. The United Kingdom is a Shining World Leadership Awards for Animal Protection and Kindness laureate, and a Shining World Wise Leadership Award laureate. Our gratitude, United Kingdom, for your compassionate program ensuring that your citizens have shelter and care. May your blessed nation’s future be bright in God’s love.

Up next on Noteworthy News, number of electric vehicle charging stations surge globally. We will pause for a moment to thank the hematologists, who are the doctors specializing in researching, treating and preventing blood-related conditions. Please stay tuned to Supreme Master Television for more foresighted news.

Hi, happy friends, it’s Gerry the vegan Golden Brushtail Possum! Heaven on Earth is as close as your next vegan meal… because vegan is what the Golden Age is going to be! Here is a tip for you. If you or someone you know has to work on a ladder for prolonged periods of time, it’s best to protect the shins and thighs that lean against the rungs. Split sections of children’s pool noodles lengthwise and enclose them around the front of the rungs – this provides immediate relief! For your safety, please always place the noodle pieces higher than where you’ll step to prevent stepping on them. Big love for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all humans and us all co-inhabitants! And thank you for tuning in. Now the weather around our beautiful globe.

Report reveals increase in electric car charging ports.

A report from the International Energy Agency has revealed that the number of publicly accessible, electric vehicle charging ports has increased by 60% in 2019 to over 862,000. Two-thirds of the facilities are in China, which has nearly half of all the world’s electric cars and most of the electric buses. Furthermore, 31% of all the ports globally are fast charging. Alongside public infrastructure, there are also 6.5 million private units worldwide, with countries such as Germany investing significantly to build more. Thank you, International Energy Agency, for the good news that electric vehicle charging points are being installed at a rapid pace. In Heaven’s support, may the transition to a cleaner-air society continue in all regions of the world.

Australian researchers discover new method to turn carbon dioxide into fuel and plastic.

Dr. Rahman Daiyan and Dr. Emma Lovell from the University of New South Wales have discovered a more affordable and scalable method to capture carbon dioxide from industrial settings and convert it into fuel or plastics. The CO2 could be captured from coal-fired power plants, gas plants and more, and are then passed through a catalyst with nano-particles. It is then converted into a mixture of hydrogen and carbon monoxide, known as syngas, which can be used to produce useful products such as synthetic diesel, plastics and more. The research has been published in the journal, Advanced Energy Materials. Congratulations, Dr. Rahman Daiyan and Dr. Emma Lovell, on your CO2-reducing discovery. May such conducive technologies soon be ready for industrial application to further green our economies, in Celestial grace.

Social enterprise in Uganda makes personal protective equipment from recycled plastic.

Takataka Plastics in Gulu, Uganda, co-founded by Ugandan environmental and community activist Peter Okwoko and American PhD engineering student Paige Balcom, recently began producing face shields from recycled plastic, so hospital workers in the nation can have better protection. Previously, the company was converting plastic waste into building materials, then switched to the new production due to the COVID-19 pandemic. By mid-June, Takataka Plastics, which employs 14 staff members, had produced 1,200 face shields that were sold at a low cost to private health centers and non-governmental organizations, or donated to hospitals. A hearty salute and Divine blessings to you, Peter Okwoko, Paige Balcom and Takataka Plastics team. May your eco-friendly, life-saving efforts help to keep the brave hospital workers in Uganda safe, so they may continue caring for their kind-hearted people.

Coming up, Brazilian meat company launches vegan alternative range in United States. We’ll spend some time now to thank God for the blessing of good health and a functioning body. We’ll be right back with more splendid news here on Supreme Master Television. Welcome back to Noteworthy News – Supporting News for a Solidarity World.

Volunteer veterinarian group saves vulnerable marine lives in Indonesia.

Since 2018, Indonesia Aquatic Megafauna (IAM) Flying Vet, an association dedicated to saving large marine animals, has tended to approximately 256 sea turtles, four whales, four sea cows, and four dolphins in need. Working closely with the country’s Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries and other organizations, IAM Flying Vet’s team of 30 volunteer veterinarians has been providing timely medical treatments, including surgery. Notably, veterinarian Ida Ayu Dian Kusuma Dewi highlighted that human activities are the main causes of their patients becoming sick or stranded. Citing many tragic cases of plastic swallowed by sea animals, Ms. Dewi said, “The cases bring a message to us…that there is too much plastic in the ocean, and people need to do something about it.” Many thanks, Indonesia Aquatic Megafauna Flying Vet, Ida Ayu Dian Kusuma Dewi, and all loving vets and parties involved. May we all rethink our treatment of our Earth’s innocent inhabitants and the environment, in Allah’s gentle guidance. Supreme Master Ching Hai: “Thankfully present the Shining World Compassion Award to Indonesia Aquatic Megafauna Flying Vet, along with a US$10,000 humble contribution in praising support of your noble, lives-saving work, with much love and gratitude. May the Divine bless and protect your team and all the cherished animals you care for.”

Here is a healthy pick-up you can share with friends. It’s called “Doctor’s Orders.”

After visiting her doctor due to stress, Dian said to her husband: “Darling, the doctor suggested me to go to Switzerland or Paris for relaxation. Where shall we go to?”

“Another doctor?”
