Previously in Part 1 of this three-part series on Kevin Mohatt’s near-death experience, the Arizona real estate agent and lifelong ice hockey player recalled surviving a cardiac arrest on Valentine’s Day 2022. A week later, he and his wife visited a nearby fire station to thank his rescuers. While Kevin and his wife sat with the firefighters in the station’s kitchen, the assistant chief asked what he had experienced while his heart had stopped. Kevin closed his eyes, and a vivid scene appeared in his mind, as though he were watching it in a three-dimensional theater. He described watching his own resuscitation from above, including the vehicles and their identifying numbers. Now, in Part 2, we continue that conversation at the fire station, where Kevin mentioned another detail he remembered seeing.
And then, I opened my eyes, and I said, “And there’s a white envelope. Like that.” And I held my fingers up. And the looks on their faces was like, “What?” The firefighters led Kevin and his wife to the garage. There stood a red fire engine marked E256— the same identifying number he had just described seeing from above while rescuers worked on his body. And he pulled out of that red truck his paramedic bag. He opened it up, and he pulled out a little tiny drill, a green one. And he goes, “Zzz, zzz.” He goes, “I drilled you with this.” And I’m like, “You what?” The paramedic explained that he had drilled into Kevin’s shoulder bone to administer emergency treatment through the bone marrow. He then showed Kevin the type of tubing used and its white sterile packaging—the “envelope” Kevin remembered seeing from above. Kevin asked what he had done with that packaging during the rescue. And I’m like, “What did you do with the paper?” He says, “Dude, I got no time for litter laws. You’re gone. I just threw it.” The paramedic also explained that the E256 engine came from station six, while the M252 ambulance Kevin remembered seeing came from station two. He told Kevin that he could not have known those details.
I’m literally emotional at this point in time. The assistant chief, he’s in tears, and they’re just looking at me in disbelief because I had just described where everything had happened exactly. Kevin says the vision did not stop with the street scene. He saw a glow coming toward him from the direction of a mountain, like an Arizona dust storm made of Light. And now I’m describing it to them, that I’m literally engulfed in this glow or this Light. […] And I’m trying to describe the Light. It’s like trying to describe the color green to a blind man. It is so hard to describe what this Light was about, but it was brilliant. And I’m in it, and I’m looking at my hands. And my hands are sort of glowing with it. And it’s quiet. It’s real quiet, and it’s peaceful. As the Light surrounded him, Kevin could no longer see the rescue scene below or the mountain in the distance. He felt no emotion, saw no family, and had no life review. He felt only a vibration inside him, like an enormous tuning fork. Then his mother, who had died of Alzheimer’s two years earlier, communicated with him.
It wasn’t like she was speaking to me. It wasn’t her words coming in my ears. I didn’t hear anything. It was inside of me, with this vibration or frequency communicating to me, “Not yet. Not yet.” Two times. That was it. I didn’t see her. I didn’t hear her, but it was in me. “Not yet. Not yet.” On the second “not yet,” boom, I’m in pitch black, and I mean, it was terror. I had felt like I had just pushed off the bottom of a black lake, and I caught my air in a huge gasp. And I couldn’t see. I couldn’t hear. I felt like I was in a pitch-black closet with no doors. I was terrified. And I was screaming my wife’s name, Connie, three times like a warrior. Kevin later recalled briefly waking in the intensive care unit, where his wife was beside him, before being sedated again.
In the months after returning home, he developed severe difficulty walking and could no longer work as he had before. As his financial difficulties deepened, he reached a point when he felt unable to go on. Then an unexpected phone call interrupted his despair. And then the voice on the other side says, “Hey Kevin, how’s it going?” Join us tomorrow for Part 3, the conclusion of this three-part series. (Brad Peterson YouTube channel - Thank you)
