In today’s news, US and Angola make health co-operation deal. French officials warn of cadmium exposure tied to dietary sources, Chinese scientists develop self-cleaning fabric for detergent-free laundry, Morocco’s Oujda honored as peaceful city, Indian vegetable seller turns rooftop into school for hundreds of children, US corn-based vegan milk wins international awards, and miracle puppy survives nine days on snow-covered Greek mountain.

Here is a wellness tip for those in their midlife years. Self-discipline is a powerful form of self-care, especially during midlife when responsibilities often leave little room for personal well-being. Taking care of yourself isn’t selfish, it helps you stay strong, balanced, and more able to support others. Here are some small, simple daily habits to support your well-being. Firstly, start your day with a short, grounding practice such as deep breathing, quiet reflection, or setting a clear intention. These are better than immediately checking your phone which you are advised to delay. Another way is to apply the two-minute rule: if something takes less than two minutes and benefits your health, like drinking water, stepping outside for fresh air, or stretching, do it right away. Make time for regular strength-building movement to help reduce the risk of sarcopenia and osteoporosis in older life. Prioritize good sleep habits to avoid ongoing fatigue and mental fog, and choose more whole, balanced vegan foods to help keep your energy and mood stable throughout the day.

We all love to laugh, so let’s now go to our joke of the day called, “Adventure: Family Edition.”

During one of those classic “generation gap” talks with his parents, a young man spoke up.

“I want excitement, adventure, and romance! I’ll never find that staying here at home, so I’m leaving. And please, don’t try to stop me.”

With that, he headed for the door, only to hear his parents following right behind him.

“Didn’t you hear what I said? I don’t want you to stop me!”

“Who’s stopping you? We’re going with you!”

?!

And now we have a heartline in Aulacese (Vietnamese), with multiple-language subtitles, from Khôi Nguyên in Âu Lạc, also known as Vietnam
